Not long ago personal branding was having a business card that might have your picture on it. It directed people to your website and maybe to your social media accounts. Now the first thing that is going to happen after you meet with someone and leave them your business card, they're going to turn straight to social media. They're probably looking you up before you ever even make it to the parking lot. If they can't find you there it isn't likely that they will make their way to your website. If you aren't actively posting and interacting with your followers they might just move on. And if it's unclear what it is that you do and who you are they aren't likely to go further.
